So the Lord said, "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so." The Hebrew people left Egypt during Exodus to Canaan at about 1450 BC, and their descendants eating bitter plants with lamb and unleavened bread during their annual Passover meal:
"The fourteenth day of the second month at even they shall keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs." Numbers 9:11. The Bible mentions further that the plants are kept and used. They emphasize the importance of these plants:
"For the land, whither thou goest in to possess it, is not as the land of Egypt, from whence ye came out, where thou sowedst thy seed, and wateredst it with thy foot, as a garden of herbs." Deuteronomy 11:10.
Ahab said to Naboth: "Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money." l Kings 21:2.
The Bible clearly states that God is "causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth" Psalm 104:14.
John the Beloved (John revealer), in his imagination, he sees a world that turned into a new world where humans will be healed from the foliage trees of Life:
"In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations." Revelation 22:2.
